I have a relatively new Mutant Cell Pearl drilled strong at 4x4x2 and it seems that I am getting an inconsistent break in the dry. Sometimes it breaks hard and other times it is flat from shot to shot in the same game. I am not sure if I am fluctuating the position of my hand at release more than I realize or if perhaps it's something else like the amount of oil push down affecting the breakpoint or perhaps something else that I may be doing. However, I don't seem to have this problem with my symmetric core pearl balls which I know can be more forgiving.
BTW . . . . the best shot I have been able to develop from the ball is to increase my speed and throw outside down the 10 board with little break. It works OK but I miss out on the back end with this increased speed and I don't get the reaction I know the Mutant Cell Pearl is known for.
Any thoughts on what I may be doing wrong or has anybody else experienced this with this ball? Would changing the surface to 4,000 help with an earlier read?
Thanks,
MK
P.S. I am a medium speed, slightly rev dominant tweener, high track bowler. PAP 5 1/2 > 1/2^
