Im not that knowledgable of layouts and the whole aspect of drilling the ball but I had my cell drilled aggressive with the pin under the ring finger. I am a high rev, high speed, bowler. Ive been bowling in a house with a extreamly walled up shot, where the insides are extreamly wet and the outsides are extreamly dry. So i figured I could stand very far left and throw maybe a 5L and peek it out to like 15R-10R, because the outsides get so dry later on in the evening that if you spray it out early its gonna check up and go brooklyn. But I couldnt find a ball to hit from the insides, from that deep of a angle. So i kept moving right and with the amount of oil and carrydown you almost cant have any angle on your ball in the inside if you want your ball to turn around. So I was on a mission for a new ball to make that turn. Because I now have this idea that if i can get a ball to move in the inside, then anyone outside of that will make it to the pocket as well. So ill have an amazing amount of room. So ive always used pearl coverstock balls so I thought maybe a dull ball would eat through that oil with my revs.
So i purchased the Black Widow Bite. This ball is very good, but once again that ball couldnt make the turn in the inside. So i said alright screw it I want the most aggressive ball out there. I want a beast. I want a ball that will hook off my hand. So i was told to try the cell. Alot of people said I had to much hand for the cell. Well i purchased the cell. Only thing I can say is, wtf is up with this ball. freshly oiled shot, fresh backends. I stood left with it and basically threw a shot 25 to 10 to see if it would turn. The ball just sailed right and barely made a turn. I was amazed. So I was like maybe I need to get it right so it can hit some dry boards. Well i threw it right and the ball just hit the outside and then made a slight move and beaked it right through the 3 pin. So now im just confused.
Im not sure why this ball isnt moving. I left it at factory. Maybe my speed is two high, so it doesnt have time to make the turn. Or maybe its burning energy to early and losing all the energy before it hits the dry boards. But like I stated before we have ALOT of oil in the insides and on the heads so that doesnt make much sense either. Our house is also known for having sub par backends so maybe the backends arnt dry enough with my speed. Who knows. Has anyone else had any problems with the cell. It might just be my revs and speed.
