Let me be a little more straight forward.
There is still no magic. ANy surface that a ball comes with as stock is just a suggestion from the manufacturer. That surface, in general, is the one best used by the average revs bowler, with average ball speed.
If you have either higher (than average) ball speed or lower than average revs, then you need to use a lower (numerical) grit to porvide a rougher surface to get the ball to move earlier. STock Cell surface is 2000 grit; you should try 600 or 1000 grit.
If you have lower ball speed or higher rev rate, then you need a finer grit level (higher numeric) applied to the ball. The stock Cell surface is 2000 grit; you should try 4000 grit.
If you have lower revs AND lower ball speed, you need a higher pin position than average and POSSIBLY a different surface. Maybe polish, maybe finer grit level. There are many dependencies.
The Cell is a very good ball, better than average, with nore forgiveness than most balls.
