Cell Info

Would you consider the cell more of a medium-heavy ball rather than a true oiler? I'm looking for nice backend and am considering using the cell as my medium-heavy ball and using the columbia resurgence as the true heavy ball. When the resurgence is too much go to the cell. This sound reasonable?

well i want the resurgence strictly for heavy. So your saying the Cell would not be a good choice as the next go to ball in my arsenal after the resurgence?

I have not thrown the Resurgence. The Cell is the best ball for medium to heavy oil that I have ever owned!Depending on your layout and surface prep;it will handle anything from medium to heavy. No prep will allow it to handle med-dry to dry.It has been said before and I will say it again,No ball will backend on truly heavy oil.Not even the Cell. The Cell is not just another ball,it is Great!

Could you throw it out of box finish on medium-heavy stuff or would you have to change the surface?

Out of box it could handle heavier volumes. Of every "dull/oil" ball I have even owned, this stays in play for a long time and doesn't "get tired" later on the night. Carry is really something else with this ball. I have left one ring 10 in 8 games. (1892 for 8 games). I must say, for me, this really is not a ball that likes to be swung a lot. Don't get me wrong, it hooks, but the shape of the shot from this ball is not like anything on the market currently.

The Cell just rolls and rolls and rolls....if you're looking for something with a big back end, you're looking in the wrong direction.  However if you want to be able to play straighter and crush racks....look no further.
