Took the Rush out for another test drive last night. Put about 5 solid games on it. I was bowling 2 games (10 total) - 1 with the X-Factor and the other with the Rush.
X-Factor: Drilled pin above and right of ring, CG out a little, RAD out a little more with X-hole on PAP.
Rush: Drilled 4x3, pin above ring finger with CG swung out quite a bit. X-hole on PAP.
I'm not sure on the conditions last night as it was open bowling. The lanes were a little oilier than usual though, so I could play both balls pretty easily. Initial line with both balls was start with right foot just left of 25 spot and throw to 15. Break points were both around 8.
The X-Factor goes long with a sharp break to the pocket. If I get it too far out, it didn't come back -- just kind of died in the 3-6. When it hits the pins, it hits hard -- kind of like hitting a home run. As the line dried out, I was pretty successful moving inside to find more oil.
The Rush is a whole different ball game. Off the hand, it immediately starts revving up in a gentle arc to the break. Once it makes it's move, it just keeps driving to/through the pocket. It doesn't hit the pins as much as drive right through them -- like Bo Jackson running through the Boz. You could actually watch it hit the 1-3, move on to the 5 then to the 9. I guess because this ball is meant for a little heavier oil, the line seemed to go away a little quicker and I had to add speed in addition to moving inside to find the line again.
I think the movement of the X-Factor is cooler than that of the Rush and I bought the X for the angular move it has. However, the name of the game isn't how cool your ball rolls, it's how many pins did you knock down. That being said, I think the Rush is a much better fit for my game. I definitely feel more comfortable playing it. If it's not first out of the bag, I defintely will not hesitate to pitch the X in favor of the Rush when things get tough!!
