I think I may have to agree with cnimsk about the OOB finish on the Odyssey. I have my own ball spinner and decided to "refresh" the surface on mine after 4 sessions of league play at two different houses. I took a barely used 2000 abralon pad, and the result was a definite sheen... a NOTICEABLE difference to the naked eye! Took it early to league last night, rolled a practice game and a half, and saw a HUGE difference in reaction on the lanes. Took it to the in-house pro-shop and had THEM spin it with 2000... still looked wrong... so I had them spin it with a 1000 pad. Eureka! Ball reacted the way it did before I messed with it(OOB finish). I think my technique on the ball-spinner may have contributed to the "sheen", as I turned the ball 5 times(covering six quadrants) which is probably better suited to a complete resurfacing of a ball as opposed to scuffing/refreshing the surface. Anybody else have similiar experience with this, or could perhaps school me on some ball-spinner techniques? Thanks.....
