Cell vs. carrydown
« on: January 15, 2008, 01:38:12 AM »
Can my fellow Rotogrip members tell me how they think the Cell works dealing with carrydown?  My friend is getting one and we are looking for that Rotogrip ball that deals with carrydown better then anything else.  Between the 2 of us, we have drilled every RG ball that has come out in the past 3 years including the Quest and we notice that it doesn't like the carrydown even though being particle.  Can someone suggest a layout for the Cell that will work good on the fresh but can also work good on the carrydown.  I'm planning on drilling one with a 4 x 4 layout like some guys have done already but then something similar to my Horizon Solids 4 x 3 layout that revs like nobody's business.  Just looking for suggestions. Thanx guys.

I drilled mine 3 x 4.5 with a 45 degree layout(pin beside ring finger) due to the house I bowl in has pretty heavy oil with some carrydown. Just my luck when I get the Cell they change the oil pattern to a little lighter. But from what I have seen with this drilling , it has no quit. I am trying it tonight @ 4000 abralon....

I bowl in two houses one that has old wood and one old synthetics.  Both of them carry oil down in a hurry.

Drilled my cell with pin under bridge with cg kicked left under ring finger and the mass bias is 2 inches left of thumb.  When it comes to carry down the cell answers with WHAT CARRYDOWN!!!!   Mine acts like it isnt even there very strong ball just ignores carrydown it starts moving and never stops.  Get thru heads well reads midlane starts mving and dont stop thru pindeck.  Hope this helps

Why not just move your feet to the right a little bit to deal with carrydown? That always seems to work for me! Just trying to save a couple of bucks!
