Neptune vs Hornet-Which for Dryer?
« on: September 14, 2007, 11:08:20 AM »
I am considering these 2 balls for the lighter to dryer conditions. To anyone who has thrown both or could give a good comparison. Which would be better for the lighter to dryer conditions? Any input would be appreciated.

                              Thanks,

According to Bowling this month magazine the neptune is much more tame.  The extremely low flare and mild coverstock give it more length and less overall hook than the hornet.

my hornet was a lot tamer than the Neptune for dryer lanes.  Neptune snapped a lot more for me in the backend.

Have thrown both. The Neptune gets thru the heads a lot cleaner. The Hornet tends to read more midlane....but, I find the Hornet easier to control on the backend. You'd have to get the perfect drilling for your style on the Neptune, to control the snap it gives on the backend.
