A couple stories that exemplify the extraordinary people at Roto-Grip.

I sent an Odyssey in that cracked in 2007. Forgot all about it and later that spring while attending Nationals I went to the RG booth and seen an Odyssey sitting on the shelf. It dawned on me that I had never heard back from them or received a new ball. It had been approximately 3 months at that time. So I went back to my hotel room and called them. Seems there was an issue with my return address on the package and they were uncertain where the ball needed to be sent back.

Through the rest of that afternoon and into the next morning I went back and forth with people there at RG trying to sort the issue out. My calls got kicked all the way up to the VP level and I was told that how sorry they were about the mix-up (even though if I recall correct it was my fault) and to go to the booth tomorrow and they will have one waiting for me.

Fast forward to this week. I was trying to drum up business for my shop and center as well as offer a cool event to bowlers with a Swap Meet and Sweeper yesterday. Worked the phones to a few distributors and manufacturers trying to get donations. No dice. Stumbled across mattmar''s post here on BR about the RG contests and so sent him a PM inquiring about a donation.

With extremely short notice and without previously having dealt with me Matt emailed and called me about the request which ended up in a phone conversation on Thursday afternoon at about 5:30 eastern time.

The ball arrived at 1:00 here at the center (which was the start time of the event). I don''t know about the rest of you guys, but to me, that kind of turn around on a favor is WAY above and beyond.

The event went off without a hitch. We gave away 2 balls (1 door prize, 1 as a $5 raffle) and six bottles of cleaner. Everyone walked away happy. The sweeper could have used a couple more entries but thanks to the center we were able to award 3 spots at $150, $50, and $30 on a $20 entry.

But I posted this thread as a testimonial to thier wonderful customer service at Roto-Grip and to serve as a public thank you to Matt Martin and Roto-Grip.
