I love the looks of the FireSide, myself. It would fit well with my Hyroad & Crossroad.

I really like the look of the Black Team Storm, too.

The Wrecker has a comparable cover strength but it's not 100% pearl... *shrug*

The Wrecker is in the HP-2 line.  The same as the Dark Star.  It has the Neutron Core and a Hybrid cover.

Sounds just like the Rising Star(a great ball, but I already have).

I thought the Dark Star was a Photon core and a pearl?

Without having any info yet from Storm/RG, here is my impression of what to expect from these new releases based on the info on the AG website.

It appears that the Disturbed is plugging into the spot the Outlaw was in HP-3 line of a symmetric solid. It is coming with a 2000 abr surface from the factory which the Outlaw also had. The RG/Diff numbers are definitely different as the Disturbed is coming in at 2.50/.43 vs 2.57/.48 on the Outlaw. With those facts, the Disturbed may be a little earlier than the Outlaw while also more controllable due to the lower diff.

The Wrecker is plugging into the HP-2 slot that the Rising Star was in. The cover is Hybrid and is coming factory 1500 polished. The Wrecker is checking in at 2.55/.42 which is the exact same numbers the Rising Star checked in at. It is listed as the Neutron core which is the same as the Rising Star/Shatter/Berserk/Shooting Star line of the past. This should plug right into that spot reaction wise. The Rising Star has been well received around our area as a great go to ball after the initial transition and players are tweaking left and getting "ping" reactions from their stronger equipment.

The Defiant Soul will be in the HP-1 line. It will use the Paragon core which is showing to be a very tunable core reaction wise. The specs will be the same as the Defiant/Defiant Edge at 2.49/.54/.17. I am hoping the Defiant Soul is similar to the Rogue Cell from a couple of years ago. The Rogue was an impressive ball and I always had a look with it on any kind of higher volume/longer pattern.

Again these are just opinions and subject to change if new information arises. :)

Correct on both counts. Dark Star had the Photon cores. Dark Star was also a pearl.

I'm wondering why replace the rising?

Also, I'm wondering in another post out here, it seemed many thought there was still a spot for a Dark Star replacement, noting it's small but some thought significant change from the Shatter....

Hmmmm, some had opined they thought the Photon core was back in the new set of releases....Not as strong as the Neutron around the corner but real nice on some shorter lighter fresh league shots....

Sorry I wasn't clear.  Just meant to say that the Wrecker is in the HP-2 line, like the Dark Star was.  Then I was describing what the new Wrecker core and cover were ... not comparing them to the Dark Star.

Roto is doing the same thing that storm did with the Hot line.  They are replacing similar balls with more entertaining names and colors.  so far in the HP2 line (basically equivalent to the Hot Line):

Shatter - 1500 pearl Neutron (stronger than the Dark Star)
Wrecker - 1500 hybrid Neutron (presumably slightly stronger than Rising)
guess what will be next?  Can you say Shooting Star Replace?

Also, by introducing a level down HP1 (Scream and Shout) they now cover more overall conditions than before with either the Dark Star / Riot or the Rising / Shooting.  No perfect direct replacements but enough for full coverage from medium heavy to light.

I can't see how the Wrecker is stronger than the rising.

Same cover(hybrid), and same core Neutron.  Doesn't mean it isn't a great ball because I understand that the Rising is a great ball.

Mine is looking at me asking for a drill.

I also understand the comments above by Roto Mike that the Shatter can turn the corner better than the Darkstar or be tamed to be better for fresh with a little bit of tweaking to reduce it's inside capabilities.

Thanks,
