It's almost Haywire time! At least for me. Picking mine up tomorrow ( release date ) after work. This ball has been looking pretty good from what I have seen from the Senior PBA and the PWBA. I made a mistake by getting rid of my Disturbed. So when I herd this was coming out, I was stoked. I may also get a Devour down the road.
-
I'm excited to get my Haywire too! I was supposed to get mine this week, but my local pro shop got a video e-mail saying that they will be running about 7-10 days behind due to such high demand. I hope this means good things!
-
It's like Christmas morning. Who is getting what? My Haywire will be waiting for me.
-
I'm going menace and later on a devour. I'm pretty stoked. Testing out a 900 global, Utah poured ball too!
-
Got all 3, Menace, Devour, and Haywire about 2 weeks ago. Haywire will be a ball you will see a lot this fall. My personal favorite is the Devour. The Menace is kind of bleh, I don't really like big cored balls anyway. My only issue is these balls lane shine quickly.

Haywire, pick up Friday. Ball looks awesome from vids I've seen so far.

My only issue is these balls lane shine quickly.
Not a good sign. Sounds like they might be high maintenance. Hopefully yours turn out to be exceptions. I forget which other line it was, but Roto had some others that shined up quickly and think they got dropped from the line pretty quick.
-
I am also getting the haywire, hope it does not lane shine like the sinister did on me. I hate to find out the hard way.
-
I am getting the Haywire as well. Thinking about shining mine as that cover does well shined :)
-
The Haywire is the coverstock on the Hyper Cell.
-
Yes forgot cover on hyper is very good in oil and seems to be holding up after a lot of games.
-
Got both the Menace and Haywire. Love them both. Menace is a beast. Great job Roto Grip. Was watching the PBA 50 and seen a lot of the menace.
-
All I can say about the HAYWIRE is --- WOW!!!!!!!! ;D
-
Metalrules,
How do you have it drilled? Getting mine tomorrow :)
-
Sorry I am late replying --I don't have the specs --- so I will have to get it later- but you will have yours punched by then
-
Metal_rules,
Unfortunately not. My driller ordered the wrong weight :( I will be getting it drilled this Saturday. ;)
-
still don't have specs -- all I can tell you is I have a 3.5 - 4 in pin ball is 15.3 lbs with 3.5 top weight -- pin is above the ring about 1" --ring finger is shifted left 1/2" -- weight hole is drilled 2 1/2 " to the right of the cg. that's the best I can do - for now

Metal_rules,
Thank you. How does this compare to the Disturbed?

I did like my Disturbed, but it was not drilled the same. I had that ball drilled pin down. So my comparison may not be fair. Disturbed was allot smoother, but pin down will tame down the ball. So to answer your question, my Haywire is stronger than my Disturbed was. The Haywire is very strong, and it gets into a roll early. I left the cover oob, and I like it that way so far. Now I have only used this ball on the ths. So I didn't have allot of oil. I am sure I would not have to roll it as hard if it were a heavier volume. But ths shots,if you like to roll it hard, this is the ball for you. I am sure with more oil it will just as good, and may not have to throw it so hard. I love it so far. I definitely have some room to miss right, but don't miss left. I am happy with this pin up layout. I like to be able to hit the ball when I need to. I throw pretty hard, approx 16-17 mph with a medium rev rate. I would call myself kinda of more of a stroker, or a mild tweener. I hope this helps.

Metal_rules,
Got my Haywire yesterday and Wow!!! This thing is an absolute Beast!!!! Compared to my similarly drilled Disturbed I think it is much stronger. I think RG has a Winner here!! :)
