Theory, same cover as Invasion?
« on: December 27, 2010, 05:55:35 PM »
Has a similar cover scheme and similar look, poured in the same plant, any chance they're the same? Haven't had a chance to drill my Theory yet and I'm just kind of wondering what to expect. I really liked my Invasion when I had a chance to throw it. Trying to figure out if these two balls will be pretty similar. Low Rg, strong solid cover...seem somewhat alike.

To the OP.....the Marvel has the exact same cover as the VG....it's OOB at 2000 and the ball is a beast. The Theory is a good ball, and very strong in its own way, but I agree with the other posters, the cover seems to need a good amount of attention. Every 9 games I hit it with 1000 than 2000 and it springs back to just like new. I don't have to give the Invasion cover quite that much attention....

Theory and Invasion have totally different looks rolling for me.  Theory is more like the original cell, but the lower rg core is noticeable for me.  My cell tamed down quickly too, but so far the Theory is not getting the lane shine that many balls do.  Of course lane shine is not all bad.  My Virtual Gravity performed much better for me after it shined up and was still strong.  I never did anything to the surface and it was great for well over 100 games.
