Silver Streak SE
« on: September 29, 2006, 12:22:42 PM »
Finally getting a chance to use this ball.  I bought it when it first came out since I shot 300 with the pearl and particle.  My old winter and summer leagues were far too dry to use it, so I kind of forgot about it.  I added a second house this winter since I finally got a dayshift job.  This place is much wetter inside and much dryer outside than I'm used to and goes through some horrible transitions as the oil moves around.  My normal league setup skates too much in the oil and the dry is something only the true fluffers want to fool with.  The SE allows me to get deep and stay in the oil and still get enough angle to carry.  Leaking to the dry gets some amazing strikes if your speed is firm, but some real messes if you're slow in the least.  The first week I shot a pretty big set and last night I shot 279 after finally getting deep enough.  Hopefully I can go 3 for 3 on honor scores with the SS line.

Oddly enough, I never owned the solid.

Getting closer.  Three 279's and one really bad shot that kept me from my first 800.  Averaging 245 since switching to it on my Thursday league.  Unfortunately not enough head oil to use it Tuesday.  Maybe I should pick up another, drill it weaker and really shine it up.
