Any difference between '12 and '13 scream
« on: February 09, 2014, 09:36:14 AM »
Just want to know before I buy one. Need something weaker/smoother than my shatter. Also considering a pin down uproar.

My understanding….same ball different color scheme.  But if anyone has different info as I wonder the same thing and thinking of picking up one of these for a 2nd shift league.

I have the '12 scream and it is longer and weaker then my shatter.  Both are layed out the same.

Same ball different surfaces. 2012 had 1500/polish, 2013 3000 grit. Doesn't account for much difference. Had both. Ball still needs friction. 2013 because of surfaces is a bit smoother off the back. 2013 is an awesome ball for the burn.

That's the 2013 Shout (the solid) with the 3000 grit surface.
The Scream (the pearl) still uses the "1500 grit + polish" surface.

I believe the sole difference between the two versions is the new color scheme to attract more sales from the walk-in crowd. I got the solid and the light green/dark green combo is good looking.
