Nomad and Nomad pearl

Hi guys do you think that the Nomad and Nomad pearl in their OOB condition is good and strong enough for fresh THS league condition ?

Yes definitely.  They are stronger than you think, especially the Nomad Solid.

Nomad Solid is the best house shot ball I think I have ever had. I drilled it pin under ring so as to limit the down lane jerk lol. And wow it still goes but sets up nicely. Ive already shot 300 and am averaging in the high 220's in 2 different houses with 2 completely different lane surfaces.

The Nomad solid is definitely plenty strong enough for a THS.  

The only issue I had with it was it was kind of inconsistent in reading the lane with the polished OOB finish.  I knocked the shine off of it with 2000 abralon and it turned into a beast, almost too strong.  I may have to take it to 4000 to use it more than 7 to 10 frames per night on my THS.  I also have the Mars...knocked the shine off of it with 4000 abralon and it is absolutely perfect when the Nomad gets too strong.  Of course, the line difference between the two is about 10-12 boards when I make the change.

For the Nomad Solid on a THS on synthetic lanes, how would a pin-up layout (stacked leverage) compare to pin-down, especially if you prefer to play up the 10 board or a slight swing shot?  I'm around 13.5 mph at the pins with medium revs.

The Nomad Solid works well for me on most fresh THS I''ve seen. Like VT_Turkey I liked mine much better at 2000ab. If you get one I''d try it OOB first but I think most people who are speed dominant or have lower revs would like it at 2000.

I haven''t thrown the Nomad Pearl so I can''t comment on it. When the Nomad Solid is too much I switch to a Shift or Spit Fire.

I also have the Nomad solid. OOB I have found it to be inconsistent if I try to swing it on fresh ths. As far as playing a down and in shot, it rolls sweet in the box condition. Mine is also drilled pin down.

I have both and they are a great one two punch for the THS...

Have my Nomad Solid with pin under ring, cg kicked out about 2 inches and a weight hole on the val at the midline of my grip.  Took 4000 Abralon to it and it is such a strong but controlled ball that owns a fresh THS. Gets through the heads easily with good midlane control/roll and punch on the back end.  Carry is phenominal for me.

Nomad Pearl is 5 by 4 for me with pin almost centered over bridge and cg 1/2 inch right of center of grip.  Left OOB and it is the perfect step down when the Solid starts to burn up early.  Pearl gets easy length with a strong move off the dry. Allows me to move deeper and bump the track.  Again great carry.

Really nice two ball THS arsenal if you ask me...

Hi guys...thanks for all the feedback...I went ahead and got the Nomad and Nomad pearl. I totally agreed that these two is a good 1-2 punch for my THS league. But I do have a bit of over and under problem with the Nomad in OOB condition so I have the Pro shop guys put the ball in the machine and remove the polish with a 1500 pad and everything is fine now.
Maybe will experiment the Nomad solid with a 2000 surface later.

PS Maybe I will try to get my hands on the Nomad Hybrid as well...

Pin up, stacked would be perfect for playing second arrow...just adjust the cover to get the perfect look.  Try it in OOB before you go changing things though...

VT, thanks for the feedback.  Being slightly speed dominate, I'm leaning towards doing a pin-up stacked leverage, with about a 2" pin buffer or possibly slightly less.  This hopefully should compliment my Hammer Diesel Particle that is pin-down stacked leverage (probably a 3 1/4" buffer) with a small x-hole about 3" down the VAL.  The Diesel is a very, very nice ball for me, consistent with a fairly sharp turn, but can be a little early sometimes.  Anyways, the colors on the Nomad Solid are sure good looking.
