To anyone throwing a Rogue or something similar do you find it performs better when the condition is broken down? I bought a Rogue last month, drilled it 4" x 4" w/ 1-1/2" buffer and x-hole 2" down my VAL. I bought this and drilled it to use as my benchmark ball. I only bowl league at a house my family owns, all synthetic lanes, condition is typical house shot at 40 feet. I have not been able to get much out of this ball on a fresh shot. I have been standing 25 looking at 11 board at the arrows. If I get it a board inside this ball slides like it''s on ice and will not react off the dry. I got with my coach today and worked on a couple things with my release and footwork. I calculated my rev rate today at 319, speed is right around 16.8, PAP is 4-5/8" over 5/8" up (right handed), average 212.
Last week I drilled a Cell Pearl at 5-1/2" x 4" w/ 2-1/2" buffer. I used this ball first out of the bag and got excellent reaction on the fresh shot. Standing 32 looking at 17 at the arrows, I took the polish off the ball with a 4000 abralon pad and this ball gave me an excellent look until late in the 2nd game. I switched to my Rogue and played the same line I played with my Pearl, stood 32 looked at 17 and the Rogue performed like I wanted it to in the first place.
Anyone else have this? I expected the Rogue to more aggressive than what it is but maybe I was expecting too much. I have seen this ball thrown on the youtube videos and it is being thrown over 15 to around 5 with a very hard turn to the pocket, am I missing something? I ended up shooting 692 by using my Cell Pearl first so I am definately not going to complain but I would have never expected this.
