I've got both. I think they both cover about the same number of boards overall; but, with different paths. Solid is earlier and more less angular down lane. Dagger has more length and more angular when it makes its move. For me, the Dagger is one of the most versatile balls I have thrown.
Let me also say, they have 2 different drill patterns. The solid is a pin-down stacked drill (5 x 5 1/2), while the Dagger is a strong label drill (4 x 5). So, this might make some difference; although the basic hook shapes I see should hold true due to the solid vs. hybrid covers with the same core.
Speaking of the rotary core in the Nomad series. I find both of these balls to roll and continue about as well as any balls I have thrown. And I think the core has a lot to do with that. I hope that RG keeps the Rotary core active, even though it appears it might be on its way out.
