Just curious to see if anyone has thrown these 2 side by side and was cusious to see how similar in reaction they are.

The Nomad Pearl is a smoother reaction than the Illusion.  My Illusions that I have are a little condition specific, I use them more for shorter patterns and house shots. The Nomad Pearl on the other hand is extremely versatile.  It is not as sensitive to oil as the Illusion and for me is more predictable.  I have been able to use the Nomad Pearl on quite a few different patterns, sport and house.  The customers I have drilled the Nomad Pearl for have absolutely loved them.  Our house shot is 39 feet in length and is a moderate volume, no one has had any problems with the Nomad Pearl handling it.  A ball you definitely can't go wrong with.

For me, the Nomad Pearl and Illusion are two different balls.  The Illusion was extremely condition sensitive for me and oil sensitive.  It had a tendency to be too over/under for a lot of the conditions I faced.  

The Nomad Pearl is a different animal.  Very versatile and even though it's strong downlane, it still reads well.  I'm getting the same type of versatility with the Nomad Pearl (solid as well) as I did with the Horizon series.  Just overall stronger looks. Great balls.

P.S.  Keep in mind that I have high axis rotation so I tend to matchup better with balls with stronger midlanes.  Balls like the Illusion and Neptune are harder for me to match up to because I bowl on a lot of wet/drys.
