THE Odyssey
« on: May 01, 2007, 12:58:44 PM »
Hey RotoHeads,

Well, I got my Odyssey from 'tekneek' (a great guy btw) and dropped it off
with my driller, I chose the C-A drill pattern from Roto-Grips drill sheet.

So anyway I thought that I would report in and say that I am very excited about it,... oh!! and I'll also be getting the Horizon Solid in the very near future.

 So stay tuned.

Later,

Hey C-G ProShop-Carl and RotoHeads,

Well, I just got another ball from 'tekneek' (btw, a great guy and another great transaction) this is to compliment the new Odyssey. It seems I'm dumping Ebonite and going back to RotoGrip,

well, along with my Hammer No-Mercy which has a bajillion games on it

anyway, without any further ado here's my new baby

I think you'll like your Odyssey....I keep wanting to get the Horizon Solid but I can't justify it to myself. I have two Odyssey's and an SD-73 and there just isn't a place for it.

Well, I went that route just because I got my BATTLE last year and threw it a lot for the following 6 months or so, so it did eventually lose a lot of pop in the heavy oil.

So, if you had recently just got the BATTLE or it is still doing well in a heavy oil shot then I would say that you probably wouldn't need it...good luck in your decision.

Btw, what gear do you have now in your bag?

If both the Battle and the Epic are still working for you, then, no you don't need the Odyssey. The Odyssey was created to replace the Epic in Roto's lineup. It's a great bowling ball but if the Epic works for you then again, no you don't need one at this time. And when it does come time to replace the Epic...don't overlook the Horizon Solid as a possibility. But I do love my Odyssey.

They had a State tournament special on the Odyssey last week and I had my eye on it for a while...  So now it's in my bag!  I love it!

I've been mainly using decade old equipment...  It has the midlane and backend I've been needing!  I got the 3" pin from PAP drilling.  RG in the strong position.

Averaged 230 with it in pot games Saturday.  I haven't felt this comfortable with a ball in about two years!  My first R-G ball.
