just out of curiosity, which current lineup of roto balls are the same as storm ball. i dont have patience and time to match numbers and figure out coverstock rs3490 is equal to coverstock bg1000(just example not using real names). or if there is a slight difference which 1s seem to be closest without doing  coverstock prep and drillings?

well i was thinking since they are basically sister company's, or so i thought they were. there would be quite the connection between the 2 but i also thought i heard someone say they dont share much information  so just wondering. plus bored at work and it a messy monday

The demension is a bit like the Cell but not too close. With one having a symetrical core and the other being asymetric there are some serious differences. Also the Neptune and Tropical are very different balls. The Neptune actually has a core and also has a much more angular coverstock.

Comparing Storm and Roto Grip is the same as comparing Ebonite and Hammer.  Same parent company but different covers and cores.  I wouldn't spend too much time with that discussion.  I have either thrown or drilled for others all of both companies current line ups.  There are fair comparisons to be made with the balls in general, but no more so than any of the other vendors.
