Cell or Rogue Cell for heavy & long patterns
« on: March 08, 2009, 06:57:02 AM »
Does the Rogue handle heavy and long as well as the Cell ?
Need a ball for nationals.
medium speed, medium revs, little axis rotation.

Thanks

The lanes at Nationals are playing very slick and tight downlane, so I would start with a cell and then a rouge cell or similar when they breakdown and you can move in.

From what I have heard/seen you can play either of them. It just depends what kind of reaction you are looking for. The Rogue is going to give you a much more angular move which of course has the up side of giving you some better carry and probably some more overall hook. But it carries with it the possibility of a wet/dry reaction that will hurt your scoring. The Cell on the other hand will not have as good of carry as the Rogue but will still be very good. But it will also give you much more control and a much more consistent move to the pocket. So it is really a personal preference thing.
