Well here I am eating my words. I had to polish one of my cells to get something that would be long and strong but controllable for the Youth Open. I can't believe the reaction. I took it down to 800 then polished it by hand
. Don't do that... I had to, I'm in a hotel room. Anyways, I thought this ball was my favorite before I polished it. It is incredible! This one is staying like this from now on. I didn't score well with it but I can see that the ball has potential. I can't wait to start throwing it at home!

FYI I did something similar. With the "hand" or light polishing, the ball retained, for me, its controlled roll and hit with more length for medium oil. Later, when I high glossed it, it got more flippy and much less controllable. I liked the lighter shine better. Of course with your revs, being higher than mine, your picture might be different.
So what type of reaction did you get?
I assume it was good.

Well I put a pretty glossy shine on that Cell. It was an interesting reaction. Like I said I took it down to 800 grit then polished it up with about 7 coats of Storm Reacta Shine. It had about the same total hook that is did before but it was delayed about another 5 feet and had a much stronger angle. I did this to my strange drilled pro cg Cell that I have been talking about for the last few months.

That's a lot of polish. I wasn't as fond of that surface as I was of the light polish, because of the amount of hook I got. With my not so high ball speed, the gloss polish had a LOT of hook.
Good luck with yours.
