What Specs for my New Cell
« on: May 08, 2008, 02:18:32 PM »
OK. I Give. All the hype must be about something. Plus, my brother has missed 300 the last two weeks by one frame with his new cell, pro cg.

My pap is appx 6 over and 3/4 up. I track high about 1 inch from my thumbhole. Stroker, ballspeed 14-16 quibica. Any suggestions on top weight, pin and layout would be appreciated. I want to use the ball on our house shot, on synthetic lanes, brunswick, usually medium oil, have to follow the oil inside as the track burns. I like to play down and in, but end up moving inside  as the shot breaks down 15-10.

I would look for a ball with around 2.5 oz. of top weight and a 3 in. pin. Being such a high tracker, you are probably gonna want a pin over bridge with the mb in the strong position if you want to be able to play up the boards or down and in with it.

Thanks Gabe.

Would these specs work for a pin beneath the bridge layout?

Yes they would, but you might want to find a ball with a pin closer to 2 inches and around a 2 oz. top weight if you want to do a pin under bridge layout.

Thanks. I ordered 2.5 oz and 3 inch pin. Can't wait to get it and have it drilled. I may lay it out and drill it myself, depends on how much time I have next week.

Thanks again
