For those who have thrown this ball from the past, what are some pros and cons of this piece besides the obvious of not being for dryer lanes? Thinking of getting one, thanks in advance for the wisdom.

I remember it having an incredibly strong core (for the time)... tons of flare. I guess this could be a good thing or a bad thing.. depending on where you track (watch flaring over finger holes)
