Title: Question for those with the Rogue?
Post by: tloy on March 11, 2009, 02:50:58 AM
I am getting mine Saturday and am looking for input on drilling. My PAP and current arsenal is in my profile. Looking for Strong Arc to go above my Cell. I notice alot of people are drilling this ball pin up. I got a pin below ring @ 3.5 lay out Cell pearl and love the reaction. Thanks for the input...

Personally, I would drill it the same as your cell.  I have a dimension and second dimension both drilled the same and it's really easy to go from one to the other.  I think that's a good idea, although a 3.5 inch pin on a rogue might burn up.  It's worth a try though

Todd:

I'd go with a 4" x 3" X 3" to get just a little different shape out of the Rogue.

Thanks guys,

Steve,

Would you go pin above or pin below @ 4"? My Cell is 4x4 1.5" pin buffer with pin above the ring. I really like the reaction of the Cell pearl I have @ 3.5 pin under ring and MB just past my VAL. Thank you

pin over, this ball is more aggressive than the orig cell.

Todd:

It depends on how short or long you want the transition from hook to roll.  If you want a longer transition, go with a 3" buffer, if shorter go with a 1-1/2" to 2" buffer.  I'm always in favor of drilling balls to fit their strengths and the CELL line is arc all the way due to the core.

Hey Todd! I have mine drilled pin below my middle finger and it's a very strong arc type reaction! It gets thru the heads really good with a very nice read of the mids and still has the strong arc with continuation at the break point!

I have a buddy who picked his up last night and just had to throw it a few times.  Now he does have above average revs probably 400-450 and was lofting gutter caps with it getting it down the lane then making a left hand turn.  It is drilled pin above bridge cg kicked out right above mid line.  He also has a Cell Pearl and the Rogue is close in length but way more back end.
