Title: Question on Cells
Post by: Storm269 on October 21, 2008, 12:05:36 AM
From what I know there are two other Cells in the market..the Strike Cell and the Hybrid Cell...If I am not wrong both are hybrid balls so what is the differences between the 2 balls ? Anyone can explain ? Thanks !

The Hybrid Cell,
http://www.rotogrip.com/products/balls/ball.asp?ballid=79
and the Strike Cell,
http://www.rotogrip.com/products/balls/ball.asp?ballid=77
are both international balls, not generally available in the US.

They do both seem similar, if they are indeed both solid/pearl combos. Some combos (Storm's Secret Agent) are resin/particle hybrids The percentage of solid vs pearl may be different. The Strike seems to have more solid, while the Hybrid has more pearl. They are probably designed for different markets, and the color may play a role in the design. (Different colors have different significances to different cultures.)

The Hybrid is 3 parts pearl 1 part solid while the Strike is 2 parts solid 1 part pearl. Strike cell clears the heads easier than the original Cell as the ball comes polished. Picks up a nice midlane read and is mote angular on the backend. New Pearl Cell is longer and even more angular.

So base on the solid/pearl combination....can I said that with the same drilling, the Hybrid will go longer and have a sharper blackend then the Strike Cell ?
