Question on Sonic X or Boom

I am trying assemble a Roto-Grip arsenal and I am kinda undecided on whether to go with the X or Boom.  The only ball I have currently is the Apocolypse.  I am looking for something weaker than that so I can use it on lighter oil conditions.  What are the major differences between the two?  I am thinking about the Boom but I have heard nothing but good things about the X, so that is kinda pushing me in that direction.  Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

There are many reviews on this site under ball manufacturers on the left.

The sonic x and boom are similar.  But the boom is stronger, (more flare).

Sonic X is for very dry, and the boom is for medium light.

If you have a large arsenal get a sonic x.  It will fill your dry lane spot.

If you are going to have an oil ball and a medium ball(lighter), get the boom!

I agree with Lucky. Go with the Sonic X. The Boom is stronger, and for me, I have two X's, one drilled about 6x5 and one drilled 4x4. The Stacked lev X is plenty strong for a whole host of lite oil conditions and even some mediums. It actually out-hooks some of my mainstay balls. Yeah, go with the X. Roto-Grip balls are sneaky strong like that!

I have the Sonic X, and it is not a true dry lane ball.
I'd say medium oil to medium dry.
It'll roll out on toast.

If you are looking for something weaker than the Apocalypse than you shoud definitely go with the Sonic X.  The Boom in my opinion is even stronger than the Apocalypse.  For me the sonic boom reads the lane a little quicker than the Apocalypse but is not as sharp off the spot.  I have all three of these balls and the sonic x is the way to go.
