Solid Horizon vs. dry back ends

Has anyone tried aggressive equipment on dry backends.  I have thrown my
Mystic (OOB), a poliched Saturn with a high pin placement, a tame Cherry Vibe.
Have thrown various lines up 5, across 20.  Was thinking maybe use agressive equipment and hope it burns up.  Any thoughts.

I tried that this past year with mixed results. I was bowling in a notoriously dry house. As long as there was a little bit of head oil, the ball was money. When the head oil went away, the ball became very over/under, and hard to predict.

I was using my out of box Horizon solid. the mids are always dryish in this house, as well as snappish backends.

Can be a good idea with the right condition.  These days we are often told that a ball 'rolling out' in that situation is bad - but with the right angle you can kill that way.  I bowl in a 2nd shift league during the fall where sometimes it gets to the point that it is hard to carry moving very deep - even with polished pearl equipment.  In that case I have been able to get my Storm Double Agent (sanded to 500), flatten my hand a bit, and get the ball to roll out just right so that it pushes the pins back rather than coming in at the typical angle.  Be aware you may anger those around you who are already fighting the condition by doing this.

Running out of options.......purchased a new Cherry Vibe with a tame drilling and weight hole to lessen side weight and ball is still hooking uncontrollable.   We have head oil, lanes are stripped, oiled but no buffing.  Going to give this a try, before looking for an old urethane ball off of one of the racks.........

I have my Horizon Solid at 2000 Abralon with a touch of Black Magic just for something like you are stating...

Still gets rolling early, but still has enough stored energy, but not too much, to get to the pocket and then the usual H. Solid carry....
