I was hoping to read some input on this also. I liked my old grand illusion also, never anything real huge with it but I do miss it at times. Mine read the mids very well but didnt hook to early or to late and never over reacted on the back part of the lane. Was probably the best benchmark ball I've had in a long time and I never even realized it. I still have mine laying around although the finger and thumb pitches are different than I'm currently using, may just have the thumb reslugged to match. Not sure what to do with the fingers, I'm not plugging and redrilling it and they aren't that much off, maybe just an eighth or sixteenth less reverse.
