RETRO RESSURECTION
« on: June 17, 2006, 08:22:21 AM »
I just purchased one, I had one 2years ago but it was murdered in a horrific ball return incident and the house would not stand behind thier equipment.
I remember seeing a post on the two pours one being 1000 matte and one being 1500 polished and a color difference. Along with a reaction difference one being the more prefered pour anyone know which is which so when it arrives i have some idea of what to expect of the ball. my old one was the 1000 matte version. Thank You In advance for any info shared.

Look at the serial number on the ball.
04 is the first pour
05 is the second

Keep in mind its not the finish that makes the difference, its the resin. The 05 is much stronger regardless of what surface you put on it. The 04 is a little more docile and a lot rollier if that makes sense.

I just got one of these things used and took it out for its first test run today. I tested it along with five other balls and the only thing I used today that carried better was a brand new Track Machine. Mine is an 05. It's very smooth and with the drilling I've got on it, is going to be a monster on a THC. It gets its first test drive on a sport shot Tuesday night.

Thanks guys, That is the info I was looking for I knew that one pour was stronger but did not remember which was the stronger of the 2 and this will help when laying out the ball. The one I had that got murdered looked like a chain saw was taken to it R.I.P. and I don't remember the pour but it was a great ball.
