Horizon Solid question
« on: December 30, 2006, 04:12:59 AM »
Has anyone tried polishing the Horizon solid? Seems very strong in box condition. If so how did it work on med-heavy oil compared to the RSX?

Todd,

I'm sorry I couldn't take your call last week and I have an email to respond to in my inbox.  Just hectic with the holidays and I had to leave to the east coast for a collegiate tournament we sponsor.  I promise I'll get back in touch with you next week.

Have a Happy New Year!

Overall this ball should be stronger shiny due to the core shape.  This taller core has a stronger drive through the pins and better continuation in my opinion than the RS-X.

Mine is drilled 4x5 box with reacta shine. It was a tad too early and long strong arc through the rack. Now it is very clean through the front great mid and more angular and powerful on the back, same type reaction as my pearl version just way stronger in oil,no squirting of the pearl in the heavier stuff and it ignores carry down. A buddy of mine has a RSX and it's drilled similar for me the HS is the choice much stronger and more consistant.

The HS is a very strong ball overall.  I have mine at 4000grit but have also tried it polished.  It's definately stronger in the mids and backend than a RSX. I'm able to use the HS in heavier volumes than the RSX drilled similarly.
