the past few weeks i have needed a ball that wont jump off the dry the rico layout should be great for this right also what roto grip or storm ball would be the best. the shot has oil from 10 to 10 but outside of that it real dry i was thinking a shiny pearl would work but would like 2 know what everyone thinks about it never used the rico before so not sure about it.

What is the length of the pattern? I would go with a solid to keep it from jumping. You don't need to have the ball rico'ed to keep it calm. The low end Roto Grip stuff has huge stable cores. I love them because with the hand I get in the ball most stuff is too jumpy. Maybe just go with a Pluto and drill it normal. That will stay calm and smooth.

already have a pluto hooks up 2 soon at 2000 dont want 2 change the surface bc this ball works great right behind my cell at a differnt house. i have always wanted 2 try the rico out. also i think the lenght is 38 ft but dry on the outside. i found a line that worked 2 weeks ago with the pluto but last week if i hit the pocket i left a flat 10

Maybe look at a Venus then? I have never been a fan of the Rico drilling on Roto. It works a lot better on more aggressive cores like in Brunswick stuff.

It's too hard to diagnose what could be wrong here.

Are you just hitting the dry too soon with the Pluto?
How is your Pluto drilled?
What are your release & delivery specs?

You may not necessarily need a Rico drilling, if the ball is smooth enough. The Venus is relatively smooth reacting. Of course, like many balls, if you put the pin above your bridge and add polish, many balls, including the Venus, are going to get snappy. If you put the pin at or below the level of the bridge, at a reasonable distance from the PAP, (in the case of the Venus, nor more than 4"), it will be fairly smooth, like the Pluto.

You could need a Venus or maybe a polished Pluto with a different drilling.

Again it's hard to tell from your description and your profile does not have any information about your release/delivery.

I would say to pollish a pluto, or look at the storm street rod line.  I'm not a huge Storm fan but they look like they might fit the need.
