New to Roto-Grip

Hi there guys.  I went to my ball driller the other day with a mission to get a strong solid reactive.  He is a Track staffer.  I went in thinking I was going to be getting either a Delta 1 or a Total Shock N Awe.  We discussed what I already have, and he flat told me that the Epic was an awesome ball.  He laid it out the same as my Xception 5.0.  Pin under ring, mass bias inside my VAL, and a weight hole in the thumb positive quadrant.  I have yet to throw the ball, and I just wanted to see what more people had to say about it.  I love my Track stuff, but I have a feeling this ball is going to be real good too.

I'll definitely give the epic two thumbs up. My main choice of equipment is track, but do have a few of the others. I got the ball after my smokin cracked with in 7 games. My driller (mike austin) replace the ball for me!!! Drilled it up yesterday, put about 7 games on it. Ball shined up pretty fast. Very strong roll, played every angle with great success. Blast it down 10 and swing it over 25. I threw it without a weight hole (had 2oz side), ball was very snappy off the dry. Went with a target weight hole 7/8 bit 2.5 deep pitched 1 1/4 away from grip, now at 5/8 side. Ball was very controllable after extra hole was in play. Ball revs up hard and dives for the pocket. I would highly recommend this ball.

Raven, how did your epic roll compared to your 5.0?

Well, I've only gotten to throw the Epic about 6 balls.  I threw it for the first time in league last night, but had to bag it right away as the lanes were just too dry for it, even playing way inside.  From what I saw, it started a foot or two sooner than the 5.0.  The roll is very heavy.  It was rolling out, so I can't make a comment on the backend yet.  I couldn't even get it to a proper breakpoint.  I will let you know how it compares when I throw it more and hopefully see some more oil.
