I am looking to get a Rising Star to compliment my future Defiant, and my current Critical Theory. or should i look at a Nomad Dagger? I am looking to use this ball when the lanes break down and i cant use the others. need some layout suggestions, keep in mind that i am speed dominate, so not too weak. thanks.

My guess, just drill the Rising Star the same as your Critical Theory. That way you have an idea of what to expect, and with the Rising Star being a good deal weaker than what you have you will get what you are looking for in a weaker ball compared to those 2.

I just recently purchased a Rising Star to go under my CT and Dagger, all I have to say that for me, it's ALOT stronger than advertised!
CT and Dagger drilled pin under ring 3 7/8 PAP, and Rising Star pin over ring 3 7/8 PAP. Tried to keep PAP same, should have went with weaker layout, I had though the ball in general would be weaker.

@OP I have the Rising Star also and its a very strong ball and like the other post had said, it is a lot stronger than expected.

What I did for a good ball to go under my med-oil balls I bought the "Riot" and brought it up to 4000AB and then put a nice coat of polish on it and WOW!! is that ever the ticket

works really well.

Of course your milage may vary!! just saying...
