Neptune gone?
« on: June 09, 2009, 10:23:29 PM »
Unless I missed seeing it, I just downloaded and looked at their 2009/2010 catalog and the Neptune wasn't there, only the Mars and the Pluto.

Did I miss it? (entirely possible)
OR
Is it gone?

Something to replace the Neptune? Is it gonna be stronger or weaker?

HOPEFULLY WEAKER!!! But still with a good hitting Core!

Should be interesting to see what they come up with. The planet line was a knock out. I hate to see the core and cover go...

The planet balls have been always made by storm's plant. Storm's comparabley priced balls were outsourced by 900Global, because storm doesn't have the production capacity to make everything they have been selling. There volume of sales right now from time to time is exceeding there capacity.

So there is no point in running everyone on an extra shift and having to pay all that overtime, just to make a ball they will have to price at an entry level. Instead the smart decision is to make your med and high end equipment that you make money off of and focus on that. Storm wouldn't want to leave a product line up that is incomplete.

Storm/RG stay busy making there profitable product, 900global uses storm resin formulas and they stay exclusive to storm. During 900Global's downtime they make product in there production schedule and both storm and 900global maximize labour and employees without having to spend overtime.

The point of all this? Well look for a Rotogrip entry level ball within the next 12 months probably. Just it will be a Rotogrip designed and ingredients on there formulas, made for them by phil.

This is common in the industry to outsource and storm has smartly and selectively done it.

Storm has helped out phil in the past when he started his first break by making some for him.
