The rogue is the stronger ball. Most video and reviews are saying 4-7 boards stronger when drilled the same.

Just got my Rogue and threw it for the first time Sunday. Rogue Rico'd, Cell 4x4 stack both OOB. The Rogue is a beast, it easily out hooked the original by 10 boards with my feet and 3 with my mark at the arrows. The two read the first 35 feet the same but the Rogue by far is more aggresive exiting the pattern. My brother almost left a weak pocket 7-10 with his 1000 grit Black widow, spared, switched to the Rogue and punched out for 290 the first game he used it. Won't get to use it alot, but I needed a ball like this for USBC, and long sports shots.

The Rogue Cell powered one of the nicest guys I've ever met at a tournament to the all events lead, and him and his partner took over the doubles lead at the MN State tournament using the Rogue and original Cell. The Rogue looked fantastic, it would hook back to the pocket if he pushed it out a couple boards and would hold like no ball should in the head oil if he pulled it a bit..the Cell was carrying every hit imaginable, but it didn't have nearly the amount of room to work with as the Rogue did...the Rogue is truly a great ball imo, 2nd time I've seen it thrown on 2 totally different oil patterns and it worked great both times.

I'm going to have to get one for myself.

is the Rogue better in oil than the original cell? I also am debating either the Rogue or the Cell but want a ball for heavier oil/carrydown/tournament patterns.

Supposed to handle oil like the original Cell with a sharper backend like the Cell Pearl, from what I hear and have seen.

Just a quick clarification, did he have the Rogue OOB finsh for this or did he adjust it?

I have this same question. I currently have 2 Cells, one drilled strong, pin down @ 1000 Abralon, and the other drilled pin up about 5-5.5 from PAP @ OOB (2000 Abralon) for a little more length. I have heard such good things about the Rogue. Plus I have a Hy-Road with a hybrid cover that and I really like the reaction I have been getting from it on my THS league pattern, so the hybrid cover of the Rogue is a plus for me. Just want to make sure I am not overlapping my Cells, but it appears not as the Rogue seems to hook a little more.

The Rogue OOB drilled the same as a Cell OOB will be stronger than the original. It gives a reaction more like the VG. It is one of the rare gems that can both handle huge oil and still make a move on the backend.

I have now thrown the Rogue a little more and a Virtual Gravity. The Rogue gives you the VG move on the back but much more read in the front. All in all very similar, though I think the Rogue can handle more oil and more carry down. I will chime in again when I use them on the Shark Pattern.
