Cell Pearl

I have the Cell Pearl. Just wondering if the ball oob 1500 polish did anyone kept the ball at 1500 without the polish?

I've seen a few sanded CPs. Most were 4000. I have seen a few at 2000. It was pretty smooth hooking. Shaped a lot like the Cell but weaker. It was interesting...

I would recommend that if you do try it. do a resurface. dont just sand it to 1500.

start with something deep like 500 and work you way up to 1500 or 2000. IMO the key to any good surface is to start deep (around 500) the way you reach your final grit is up to you and the way you prefer to see the ball react.

Thanks guys. the  reason i'm asking is that i know cp can hook in oil too but i notice it wont grab it skids but everyone else says they can hook in oil. i don't throw a big hook or speed. i'm a stroker. but with cp when its dry of course i can hook it but with medium seem to skid if i'm lucky when it hits the dry it will hook at the end but thats sometimes.

Average,

Don't be afraid to play with the surface on the CP as it is a very user friendly surface.  I took mine to 500 with polish all the way up to 4000 with polish just to check out how it would react.

I would suggest trying this..

I would do the full resurface starting at either 320 or 500 depending on how the surface is (if in nice shape start at 500)..then a soft touch of 1000...then a good hit of 1500.  Think you will see this will force the ball to roll quite a bit earlier than with the shine but still will have some boom on the back end.

Again, feel free to play around and see which works best for you!
