Seriously.  I haven't been using my Cell lately at league because there just isn't enough oil on the lanes.  I could use it for a few frames the first game, but had to keep it inside.  It would roll out if I got it out to the dry, and really didn't have a lot of recovery.

So instead of letting it sit in the bag I decided to put some polish (Snake Oil) over the 2000 abralon.  The ball is now a monster on our 40ft medium oil shot.  Lots of recovery, big backend, and retains a lot of energy through the fronts.  It's easily 3-5 boards stronger off the break now.  The ball motion reminds me of my Rapid Fire solid, but with more midlane read.  Still very predictable and good pin carry.

So, if your having trouble getting your Cell down the lane, or it pukes on the backend, polish it.  You'll probably like the result.

(Or just get the Rogue...)

Threw mine with polish out of the box, (i.e. I got it box, and polished) and went 757 the first night.


Threw a game before league. 300.

Mine never really liked polish, or at least I didn't get a desired reaction with it shiny and I tried a lot of surfaces and polishes. The ball worked great dull for me though, there was just a definitive point with it where it had to go back in the bag.
