Hi all,

I'm proud to present to you my new Roto-Grip Nomad videos

http://www.videoballreviews.com/nomadsolid.html
http://www.videoballreviews.com/nomadpearl.html

OR

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKjxY16olTg - Nomad Solid vs Grand Illusion
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=occ7ROEcIGA - Nomad Pearl vs Nomad Solid

The newest additions to  Roto-Grips mid priced Sword Line are here!  The Nomads are a blend of old and new, wrapping their new coverstock Ultra Vision around the proven rotary core found in the silver streak line.

The nomad solid is a great piece of equipment, and an excellent upgrade to the very popular Grand Illusion.  As you can see in the video, the Nomad solid takes the reaction of the Grand illusion and amps it up a little.  The Nomad provides you with a stronger move off the back of the pattern and slightly more overall hook.

The nomad pearl gives you a similar look to the solid but pushes through the heads much easier.  These balls compliment each other so nicely and will give any bowler a great 1-2 punch on a wide array of medium oil conditions.

I will update this review when I get a chance to drill up 1 more of each ball and change surfaces.

Great videos! I really liked the Nomad Solid and I noticed Buddies put their videos of the balls today, too. Looks like I may have found my next solid ball.

Britton,
Nice vids as usual.  So how do these compare to the Cell line?  I heard the Grand Illusion was supposed to be a great house shot ball.  Do you think that is going to be true for the Nomad as well?

I enjoyed watching the nomad solod vs grand illusion. i have the grand illusion like so
----p
0 0
---cg  0
-0-

tonight i used it 2nd and 3rd game shot 236 and 239 typical house shot. i haven't used this ball for a while like 4-5 months since i shot 755 with 280 with it. i started with the pluto but jsut didn't give the drive at the back drilled it weak. but the grand illusion worked wonders for me on house shot. it gave me the  lenght and back end. so i don't think i would replace my gi with nomads. love to have one though.

Thanks for the videos these balls look great, I really like the solid!.  It will  toss up between the pearl and virtual energy. I already have a dimension 2. It will be between a nomad pearl or virtual energy

It really depends to some extent on which balls the PBA Roto Grip/Storm players choose to throw on TV however I see a ball of the year in the making

I think these will be a better step down from the cell line than the illusion line.  For me there was a pretty big gap between the cells and the illusions, these balls somewhat fill that gap.

The Grand illusion is one of the best benchmark balls i have thrown (the hy-road is right up there with it).  I loved my 2 grand illusions i had drilled...they rolled so good and read the lane great, problem was as soon as i had to get in and circle the lane more than normal, or if i missed right i couldnt kick the corners to save my life, i always had to switch balls to something that let me open the lane up a little more and "pop" more in the back.

What i have seen already from these nomads is that they give me the same consistent reaction as the grand illusion (a little stronger), but they allow me to make that move left, circle the pattern, and the ball still rounds the corner and carries.  The nomads are a good balance of control and power at the breakpoint.
