Tommy Delutz Jr-11/30

What do I know........I know, I know, however,.....

It didn't look like the ball wanted to move after the first few shots....seemed like it was a little inconsistent.....just got me to thinking if something else may have worked better.  Look at his 10th frame,....ball barely made it back...was it speed??  Anyhow, he filled with a great shot though.....

I'm not criticizing because that ball got him there, but did anyone else notice that ?  Damn I was pulling for him!

Jeff,

the last shot he just lost it off his hand and speed was a touch high along with he didn't get all of it at the bottom of the swing.

He was light the first 3 or 4 balls on the left lane. Made me wonder if he was just too deep, had the SSP drilled for too little flare or needed a milder drilled SS solid?

tough to say, Roger is probably right..........but charlest obviously saw what I saw too.......

charlest, I emailed TD once and he responded with his fav drilling, 5x5 basically...you could see his pin up and between the bridge on the SSP he was using....

I also agree with Charlest.  the lanes seemed different also or he could have just been playing both lanes differently.  He bowled well with his SS Pearl all week and probably thought it was the right ball.  Either way it was nice that he got there.  I wouldn't be surprised if he made it again next week.  We seem to be seeing a lot of determination from most of the guys who make it one week keep making it the following week.

tommy bowled great all week, he just ran into the person who had the right speed and release for the condition that was out there. everyone but healy had the same problem with the lane condition, you started out deep and had a great look to the pocket, then the lanes changed and you had to find a new route to the pocket. in both the sat. morning and night sessions tommy took a big step right on the approach and lane and threw the ball a lot straighter and got his carry back. both times he finished with a blue roto. i thought he would try to play there on tv also but the shot that was there was deep. there will be other days for tommy,he is so smooth and talented.
