Title: roto-grip destiny
Post by: hjk246 on May 15, 2008, 07:37:40 PM
I just purchased a 14lb roto-grip destiny(an international ball)from ebay.Paid a whopping $60.00 for it and let me tell you....it just became my favorite ball.when i first opened the box i could have sworn it was the cell and so did others at the pro shop.i had it drilled with a 4x4 drilling layout for moderate length and maximum backend and here's what i got.I generally stand between the second and last dot to my left.i have medium speed with still some pretty good revs for my age.i throw the ball out to about the 5-7 board with pretty good speed based on the oil.all i can say is amazing.this ball recovered from everywhere and when it hit the pocket the pins never had a chance.i was having trouble at first once our matches started because this ball is extremely aggressive and it was clear that they had about a medium volume of oil because it was screaming back to the pocket.this ball has an incredible backend.if you can get your hands on one grab it.you will not be disappointed.

I agree, my pro shop owner also picked one up and he absolutely loves it.  I filmed some footage of him throwing it, and will be sure to post the video as soon as the compilation is complete.

From what I've seen, it's every bit as potent as the Odyssey, and looks to match!

One question, it's not USBC certified for league or competition, right?

According to the USBC approved list, the Destiny IS approved as of May-2007.
