The last three Hybrid covered releases Nomad Dagger, Infinite Theory and Rising Star have been some of the most versatile balls that I have had in quite some time.
I bowl in two PBAX leagues and one THS league. For the first time in years I have equipment that can be use to equal effectiveness on both the THS and the varied PBAX patterns. For example my Rising Star is the first ball out of my bag on the THS league but I also used the Rising Star to some great success on Viper, Cheetah and Chameleon. My Nomad Dagger also gets used during the THS league and played exceptionally well on Scorpion, Shark, Dick Weber, Masters and Earl Anthony.
I just came back from Reno where I used (2) Infinite Theory to score 1931 in All-Events.
I have seen a lot of the better players using the Nomad Dagger and the Rising Star recently.
They seem to take surface changes easily and the results are quite positive.
The newer Hybrid covers seem to match more player styles and lane conditions.
Let me know what you think...

Good bowling! I was pretty sure you were going to do well, as you have been making them look easy in league on Mondays. The Infinite Theory looks good, good midlane readability and continuation, especially for an assymetric ball.

Good shooting at the Nationals Mike. Question about the team event. I have all 3 at box condition plus a Theory at box condition. Was wondering which Infinite Theory you used to start the team event with. I am thinking of leaving my Infinite Theory at box and taking the Theory down to 1000. I am a low end tweener with moderate speed and revs. Thanks in advance for any help you might provide.

Pin under ring finger with a strong drill angle and a low hole on the val. I hand scuffed it at 1000.
I'm concerned that your solid Theory at 1000 might burn up a bit too quickly

I am thinking that as well. After talking with a few local folks who have been to Reno already, will now leave everything at box. Theory, Infinite Theory, Dagger, Rising Star, Dark Star and spare. Will probably talk to the guys at the Roto/Storm booth as well when I get there. Thanks for your help.

Mike I have the nomad and nomad pearl and really like them along with my storm stuff. I am going to drill an infinite, dagger, and rising star because what I am seeing here those ball roll really sweet.

Glad to hear it. Since I bowl on two PBAX leagues I get to use different pieces regularly and I can tell you that the Hybrid covered balls has stabilized my carrying arsenal. The Infinite Theory, Dagger and Rising Star are usually in my bag each week. The Rising Star sometimes comes out when I am on longer patterns but the Dagger and Infinite Theory are always with me.
My teammates and I have a saying "ABC" - Always Bring a Cell. Now I am thinking about modifying it....

I have a Nomad Dagger and a Rising Star and they're 2 of the most versatile balls I've thrown on medium to dry conditions. Up the boards on the outside or moving inside, they always hit hard and carry well. Even better is that several people have asked about the balls since I bought them and they were really impressed.
Typically the Nomad Dagger will be first out of the bag and used as my benchmark ball. Throwing a few shots will easily tell me whether I need to go stronger or if I need to move down to the Rising Star. I've seen a lot of success with these on a 39ft, 41ft and 43ft THS (both wood and synthetics), and have used the Dagger on a broken down Route 66 (synthetics) with positive results.
In short, after building a new Roto/Storm arsenal to replace my old Columbia 300/Brunswick arsenal, Roto/Storm is just flat out awesome.
