Hey, isn't anyone going to whine that ...

the Rotary core of the Nomads is "old" technology?

C'mon, where are the whiners, for whom only the newest is good enough???? 'Change for the sake of change' is their religion.
C'mon, you know who you are. Stand up and be counted.

I ain't whining Jeff...I love it!!!

I wonder how close the Nomad.  http://www.bowlingball.com/roto-grip-nomad-bowling-ball.html

Will be to the old Solid Silver Streak?  http://rotogrip.com/products/balls/archive-ball.asp?ballid=57

Basic same core with a different cover.  Sure Gripâ„¢ Solid  Reactive is to old SS vs. Ultra Vision Solid Reactive in Nomad.

Mr. Richter or Mr. Noordhoek?  Inquiring minds....I loved the Silver Streak Solid and always have been looking for something similar to replace it...maybe the Nomad Solid is it?

My 2 cents is that with today's heavier, more viscous oils, the new coverstocks will allow a similar degree of usability (to the Silver Streaks)with a known type of breakpoint management provided by the old, reliable cores.

I'd bet 2 Nomad solids and 2 Nomad pearls with different drills and different surfaces would give 95% reaction/oil coverage and a league arsenal across several houses.

[Rhetorical question]

What if the Rotary core was ahead of its time? Does that means that now is the correct time for it?

ok, to someone new to using rotogrip, is the rotary core stronger than the illusions yet weaker than the cells ?

Rotary core makes my "Core Hall of Fame," along with Storm's FE2, RAD and RAD+ cores, the Lane #1 Diamond (the version from the H20 series) and that thing Mo Pinel designed for the AMF XS series of balls, whatever it was called.

My issue with the Rotary has always been coverstock matchup. When it's bad (for me), it's bad. But when it works, it works.

Scott:

I dont have mine yet but Roger said they are likely shipping soon - but I'm sure they'll get here when I'm already gone to Bowl Expo so early July will be the earliest I can see them on the lanes.
