i'm sorry that you were confused by my response. let me see if i can clarify...
yes, for my game and style of play, the venus is my choice. however, for
most of my customers, it would be the mercury. reason being, majority are
of the "rev, speed or both impaired" category. the mercury allows them to still get good length, but still maintain a decent amount of angle of entry and continuation through the pocket, even when the lanes begin to dry.
regarding the vibe, it seems that the combination of a somewhat strong core
from the past combined with a fairly "strong" cover work well together at a
very fair price. the ball maintains good length, but unlike some other balls
it doesn't seem to lose any "pop" or continuation on the backend.
