Spare Tire drilling help
« on: August 25, 2005, 02:44:14 PM »
I just got one of these NIB and there is no drilling sheet. I was curious if there is anything special you need to do when drilling one of these up or it just like a vizaball or white dot? A basic over the label drill.

Well I don't know for sure but I'd imagine that it'd be best (coolest) to just drill it with the axle of the wheel on your PAP so it rolls like a normal tire.  OThers have done that.

I did the same thing, but arrived at it differently. I threw a couple of my other balls and noted where the first oil track was, then measured how far I was tracking from the holes. I then drew a line down the centerline of the tire tread, and measured off the same distances. Drilled away, and it rolls pretty smooth (when I dont botch the release!). Everyone likes it 'cause it's different (only one in the house so far).
