Rotogrip Hyper Cell Video and Blog Review
« on: December 04, 2013, 12:11:04 AM »
Hook, hook, hook, and more hook!!! Roto Grip is bringing back the Cell line with the “Hyper Cell”. I’ve gotta say; this ball is absolutely stunning! I drilled the ball with a 40° x 5” x 38°.  This allowed the ball to clear the fronts and read the mid-lane while maintaining motion down-lane. The Hyper Cell is wrapped around the all-famous core “Nucleus Core” covered by the 80 MicroBite and finished at a 2000-grit abrasion surface.

The Hyper Cell is a very aggressive ball. This has to be one of the most aggressive ball I have ever thrown! My first impression on seeing the looks of this ball; I was already sold! During testing, I’ve seen significant response in the oil and make a great move off the friction at the end of the pattern. I can see this ball working very well on Oily House conditions, heavy volume medium sport shot patterns (38-42ft), and long patterns (43ft+). Something that shocked me with the hyper cell is even though it’s so strong; it doesn’t lose energy or quit/rollout down-lane. Anyone can throw the Hyper Cell whether you are a lower rev player or even a higher rev player such as myself.

I love the three-color combo they used to create this ball: black, purple, and yellow. It’s vibrant and stands out! When you see someone throwing it, you will know automatically it is a Hyper Cell. I will grade the cosmetics of this ball a solid “A”! I will give this ball an “A” as well for performance on Heavy Oil Conditions. This ball is a must have in everyone’s arsenal?

If you can never seem to get your ball to hook, than this is the ball for you… Hyper Cell by Roto Grip, get it and find out more information as bowlersdeals.com.

I will never see a condition where I could use this.

How will it look on the USBC OC or longer PBA patterns?

@bowl400: It rolls very well on high volumed medium-long patterns. Reads the oil very well. The Hyper Cell doesn't skid past the breakpoint or die out.

Love my Defiant with the MicroBite cover on the flood.  But, 80 MicroBite and that Nucleus Core on the Hyper Cell?  Damn, that is really attractive.

I'll say count me in!

Doesnt anyone remember how GOOD the original cell was! Cmon this thing is going to be the best of the bunch..I will say that this will be the most important ball since the virtual gravity and vg nano for utah....  Roto Grip will be on top by a landslide now...

Look at their low end, mid price and high end....they really complete now!  I honestly cant wait....
In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]
*Now Testing* IQ Ruby, Renevant, another IQ Tour solid
Coming soon...???

Billdozer, et al

Wait til you see the Zero Gravity... The Hyper Cell will likely have competition.

Sidenote:
In my humble opinion, asymmetric balls are becoming less attractive. Symmetric covers (Disturbed/Marvel-S) are strong, even for heavy volume they compete.

But check out Storms Zero Grav...

Cheers all

The Zero Gravity will be a completely different ball with a Low-Diff (LD) core.  Low to mid flare potential versus the High flare potential of the Hyper Cell.

Yes I completely understand... I was solely referring to the competitive/performance value of the ZG vs the Hyper. Hyper Cell arrives tomorrow... ZG hopefully before I head out to St. Louis for the Holiday Doubles...

Will gladly provide my two cents of at least the Hyper and Asylum.
