OH BUDDY!!!! This means we can see the SD-73 on TV.  It must have been that super lefty crushing against Barnes and PDW that changed their minds.  LOL

Yeah, Brian Kretzer strikes fear into the rest of the tour's hearts. Well, maybe not, unles he's behind the wheel.

^^Ice Cold.

KRetzer is highly underrated.  Stays under the radar, always makes matchplay and finishes well in points every year.  The longer, grindout formats usually play well to his advantage and I hear the PBA is doing alot more "traditional style" formats this season.  I'm glad to see them back on tour.  The Odyssey is the hottest thing out right now.

Yeah, it was a cheap jab. However, he's not on tour for nothing. Hopefully, he'll make some noise this year because I'm sure he was somewhat embarrassed by the situation.

I said that on d/t thread. I think jaros would match up very well with roto's gear. if he did I bet you would see alot of him on the tube.

Well, unless something has changed (and I hope it has), RotoGrip is not approved for use on the Denny's PBA National Tour.

Roto is a "GRASSROOTS" registered company with the PBA. What this means is that their apparel and equipment may ONLY be worn and used in the PBA Tour Qualifying round, and the PBA Regional tour. Here is the direct explanation:

quote:
Unlimited use of cleared bowling balls, apparel and accessories in PBA Tour Qualifying Rounds*, PBA Regional and Senior Tour competition (excluding any televised competition).

* Grassroots items not permitted during U.S. Open and World Championship competition or on the Denny's PBA Tour.

Now that Roto is signing guys to staff, my guess is that they have changed their registration type with the PBA for the 2007-08 season. But, as of now, and for the past couple years, Roto COULD NOT be used on the national tour.

On Edit: I misplaced the "quote" command, lol.

off the roto website:

Roto Grip, the Brigham City, Utah based manufacturer of high performance bowling equipment, is pleased to announce that it's products will be fully registered with the Professional Bowling Association for the upcoming 2007-08 season. Roto Grip was registered under the PBA's grassroots marketing campaign the prior two seasons. Full product registration allows Roto Grip Products to be used in all PBA events including all ESPN televised finals.

"Our first initiative is to find a group of elite bowlers that we feel can be successful out on tour," said Roger Noordhoek Roto Grip's Vice President of Business Development. "Signing Brian Kretzer earlier this week was our first step. Kretzer finished 37th in PBA Points to qualify for the 2007-08 PBA tour and we are happy to have him on staff. Roto Grip regional staffer Brian LeClair is also exempt for the 2007-08 season. Teaming up with the PBA is still very costly, but we feel the money spent during our grassroots marketing campaign has paid off with our pro shop partners."

Roto Grip, a subsidiary of Storm Products Inc., is currently the fastest growing bowling ball manufacturer in the United States.
