Hey all....
Picked up my RS1 the other day from King of the mill....thanks King!
I had it drilled to complement my Rush. I've been throwing the Rush a lot lately realizing that a fresh 6-800 on a fresh shot is just pure arcing heaven!!! Well....when things start to break down and I need a touch more length and a little more 'get up and go'..I figured the RS1 would be perfect....This ball will also allow me to get deeper as things lighten up...find the oil...and have NO problem turning the corner with a .059 diff !
I have it drilled 4x3 with a small balance hole about 1/2 above my pap...KOTM tilted the core up a bit for me to get a little more push...(I know I didn't say that right...but if I didn't he can explain!
) .....anyhow....left it in box condition....
by the way...........nice looking ball....nice Red/orange and dark silver swirl with yellow engraving....sharp!
This is a typical house shot...lately they have been stripping so the backends are nice...not too big, but pretty hot....ProAnvilanes (2.5 years old)..medium ..medium heavy shot...11-11 ( think) 38 feet.....pretty sure....
Well......this bad boy came out in game 3 after things started to dry out a bit and the Rush wasn't quite retaining the energy needed from deeper...which isn't its strong suit to begin with...so that's ok!! So...out comes RS1....with 2 practice balls under it's belt.....I proceeded to move 2 1/2 further left than I was...1 1/2 to 2 with my eyes and just let her rip !!!!
2 words.... OH MY !!
Clears the heads wonderfully....no problem...just passed the arrows you can see the lower rg starting to work...but...still push (cover)...you can watch her set up....and say "CHARGE".....and off she goes left.....NOT SNAPPY....but a nice hard-arc that is still readable and still pleasantly controllable!!
First shot.....bam!! Solid 9 !!! I said to myself...."typical Roto!!" too much!!! LOL
Nice shot...probably got it out a little too much and came back too strong.....anyhow......finished with a 207 which is fine......if I had some more frames under her belt...it probably would have been much better....some operator error was definately there (always!!
) but....overall...
The RS1 is a nice ....good midlane...big backend pearl that clears the heads nice...still reads the mids nice too..and doesn't break your neck when it hits the dry...(with my drilling!) I'll be able to use this ball a lot this season! It'll come in handy on mediums....and medium lights...and it'll let me get deeper with confidence too! The .059 motor in the RS1 guarantees that....
This ball will fit perfectly below my Rush and even though it seems like a huge window.....it will be the ball above my Super Sonic....I don't see a lot of lighter drier stuff....so I don't really need a true GAP filler between the Super Sonic and my Rush....but the Rs1 "will" be able to do that....it's my only pearl in my bag right now....and I know she'll come in handy quite a bit this season!
