whats the difference between RS-X Pro Pin and the
RS-X??  i was looking on bowlingball.com for a cheap
ball for light oil.  reviews werent bad on the RS-X,
but was curious as to what the difference was to the
RS-X Pro Pin.

Heh, Weird selling point.. usually Pro-Pin balls have FEWER drilling options, because a lot of drillings will put the CG too far from the centre of the grip to be easily drillible (to keep legal).  However, if you are looking for a bargian, this is the way to go!

Also, if you didnt want this for lighter oil (though personally I think the RSX is a bit strong for this!) the Pro-Pin would be fine as you would most likely be drilling with a long high pin, which is perfect for a big pin out ball.

i see.  i plan on drilling it to go long with a flip
or strong backend.  i like to play inside/deep inside.
dont want it to roll early or midlane either.  something
for a light to med oil.

Loose, i took your advice and had it drilled that way.  the shot
today with the Action Max was hitting 16/17 with a swing to 6/7 and
ripping back to the pocket....love that shot!  pulled the RSX out
and tried same shot, but it was flat.  had to play down & in, 10 to 5.
she come roaring back nailed the shot and banged a 7-10 split.  next
shot, stone 10, than week 7,  than bone 9.  made a 2 board left move,
10 in the pit, next shot messenger took out 9.  than 10 in the pit again.
overall the RSX reacted how i wanted it to...kudos to you!  we will see how
the 2nd shift is on tuesday now.  the ball goes long and has strong arc in
backend.  i think it would be a perfect setup for light oil.  thanks again.
