4K FAST
« on: June 26, 2022, 12:58:04 PM »
I've read all the articles from Storm and watched some of their videos.  Before I buy one or more balls I'd really like to know if anyone (Not on the Storm Staff) has thrown one of the Hyped, Hustle or Global Burner Pearl balls and if so, how do you like or not like the new 4K Fast finish?  Did anyone change the surface back to what it was before the new 4K finish?  I know what the Storm staff says but I'd just like to know what  regular non-staff bowlers think.

Thanks in advance for any information you can give me.

The phrase 4K Fast is a gimmick name from storm. It's nothing more then you or 90 percent of the other bowlers who take 4000 grit pad to their bowling ball. So yes there is no reason why you can't take them to 1500 and polish just like Storm did from the factory if you don't like the so called special 4k FAST finish.

It's ironically named, as it's the slowest way to get to 4k possible.
Ultimately it's just a 4k finish, and like every ball in the world, adjust as needed.  Whether you like it or not is irrelevant, you can change surface in anything.
Most companies won't say it outloud, but factory polish is 99% about shelf appeal and selling bowling balls, not ball reaction.  That's why so many people stress to always experiment with surface before you even consider giving up a ball.
